little pratincole,Small pratincole or small Indian pratincole is a resident bird of the Indian Subcontinent.They live in groups.little pratincole are 100 to 500 birds in their group. This small bird is 18 to 19 cm in size.Their color is gray and the crown of the head is brown.The underwings are mainly black. The tail is white with a black terminal triangle. The belly is white.Breeding season is from December to March.small pratincole bengali name is choto babubatan.

Habitat

River and Lake.

Diet

Beetles, bugs, termites, flies and other insects.

Range

Bangladesh,India,Nepal,Bhutan,Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
