Purple sunbird (Cinnyris asiaticus)

Purple sunbird is a small bird in the sunbird family.Found mainly in West Asia through the Indian Subcontinent and into Southeast Asia.The male is glossy metallic bluish to purplish black on the upper parts with the wings appearing dark brown.female purple sunbird are olive brown above with a yellowish underside.

Habitat

Found in gardens and even in dense urban areas, where they are usually observed near flowering shrubs and trees.

Dite

They feed mainly on nectar but also take fruits and insects.

Range

Pakistan,Nepal,Bhutan,India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
